Jay Levine is a music producer and songwriter whose passion is helping artists find their voice through song writing and development.  He has discovered multi-platinum artists such as Fefe Dobson, Susan Cagle, Prozzak, and The Philosopher Kings. Jay has written and produced songs for over 20 feature films, and has written singles for Miranda Cosgove (ICarly) and Elizabeth Gillies(Victorious). His latest project Today Kid has been featured in Reebok, Best Buy, Match.com, Verizon, and Benjamin Moore commercials. In 2013, Levine was the head music producer at the Orchard’s sync department and also taught a songwriting workshop at NYU. Jay has consulted for Lyor Cohen (WMG) and his label Lefthook Entertainment has been supported by Columbia Records, Island Def Jam, and Sony/ATV.   Jay’s film credits include music production and writing for films such as Raising Helen,  Loser, 40 days and 40 Nights and a supervision role for a feature film called "Manhattan Nocturne" starring Adrian Brody.  Jay has completed co-writing of the musical Popstars and produces and co-writes for rising star Catey Shaw and LOREN.

 

sophie dupin // partner

Sophie Dupin grew up in Northern Michigan and moved to NYC at the age of 18 to pursue her song writing career while attending Pratt Institute for graphic design. Playing clubs on the lower east side of Manhattan , Sophie learned the art of artist development while co-founding a successful graphic design company called Tiny Couch. Dupin combines these worlds as she is the head art director for BREAK as well as a main songwriter. She uses her expertise in both areas to guide developing artists through co-writing, focusing on their personal story and how it translates into sound and image. 

Sophie has placed songs on major label records and recently completed a musical called Popstar which had it's first industry reading in NYC. Her songs have been featured in major TV commercials with brands such as Fisher Price, Crayola and Pandora Jewelry. She has also worked as a Judge for X-factor and scout for America’s Got Talent.  Her latest artist LOREN, was labeled 5 Artists to Watch in September 2015 by SPIN MAGAZINE. Sophie is currently recording her debut solo album under the name BRIX.   Brix vocals and song writing are featured on Hollywood Records' artist Cole Plante's number 1 dance song "Before I'm Yours".

Lee Miles is a Singer/Songwriter/Producer originally from Jacksonville, Florida. He has written and produced various genres for and with various artists. Recently, he took second place the International songwriting competition judged by Imagine Dragons, and other industry VIPs. Some of his credits include works with Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, Rise Against, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Tickle Me Pink, Max Gomez, and It's Alive.

Multi-talented singer/songwriter/producer/illustrator, Leah Hayes, has released several albums as Scary Mansion, published multiple graphic novels through Fantagraphics Books, and has written songs for artists such as Dillon Francis, Kill FM, Chiddy Bang, Ryland Blackinton (Cobra Starship), among others. She has toured with TV on The Radio and was featured on their album Return To Cookie Mountain. Her latest graphic novel is due later this year on Fantagraphics and she is currently featured on the latest from KillFM "Lies".

VH1 ‘You Oughta Know’ artist, Charlotte Sometimes, released her debut album, "Waves and The Both of Us" (Geffen Records), in 2008. She was named one of the "100 Bands You Need To Know" by Alternative Press Magazine, and The New York Times has said, "Her style earns her instant attention." While promoting WATBOU, Charlotte toured with artists Gavin Degraw, Pat Monahan, and Butch Walker, and participated in the 2008 Vans Warped Tour. She self-released two EPs in 2010 and 2011. And in 2012, Charlotte competed on Season Two of NBC’s "The Voice," earning a spot among the 24 finalists, while turning the chairs of all 4 judges. Since then, Charlotte released a new EP entitled "Circus Head" and her most recent LIVE EP, "By Request" which was produced and arranged by Ryan Vaughn.  She recently started a new project called LACES.

Tim Shrider // producer

Tim Shrider is a Kentucky born music maker who moved to Brooklyn to pursue his producer career at the age of 23.  Tim's influences include the left of center to the polished pop sounds he grew up with, including: tvotr, Radiohead, Sonic Youth , Fleetwood Mac, Sigor Ros and Tom Tom Club.   These diverse acts guide Shrider's musical sensibility and are evident in his production style.  

Tim has co-produced Catey Shaw's Run Run Run and Outerspace and has landed an NBC trailer for the show Hostages. Tim is in the process of building his publishing catalog and is currently taking sessions with top writers in NY and LA.

 

Lil Eddie // vocal coach

Lil' Eddie Serrano is a GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum singer/songwriter signed to Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Growing up in New York City, Lil’ Eddie credits his Nuyorican identity as being central to who he is. He has released four #1 albums in Japan, opened up for Ne-Yo, and toured in Germany, Dubai, and the UK. He has also been involved extensively with The X Factor USA as a vocal coach for seasons two and three.

Lil' Eddie has written for some of the world’s top recording artists, such as Paula Abdul, Charlie Wilson, Usher, Janet Jackson, K'Naan, Nelly Furtado, Pink, Kylie Minogue, Iyaz, JoJo, Cody Simpson and Jessie J. His current songwriting projects include Afrojack, Rita Ora, Eva Simons, Keke Palmer, Jordin Sparks, Kat Deluna, Christina Milian, FeFe Dobson and many more.

He has shared the stage with artists like Christopher Guest (Spinal Tap, A Mighty Wind),Robby Krieger (The Doors), Jeffrey Osborne (L.T.D., platinum selling recording artist), Berklee Symphony (premiere of August Rush with Robby Williams, and Keri Russell), Gloria Estefan, The Edge of U2, Branford Marsalis, Jennifer Holliday, (two-time Grammy Award-winning singer/actress, Broadway musical Dreamgirls) and Phil Ramone.
